How to Win at Craps?

One day, you’re feeling lucky and you want to spend some time in the Newtown Casino in Malaysia. You find that a group of people flock to the craps pit, high-fiving each other when they win and trying to refine their strategies if they lose.

There is no doubt that a game of Craps is one of the most exciting and most enjoyable games in the casino. But, learning how to win in the game is more of using your skill as opposed to relying solely on luck.

In this article, I will talk about some ways you can win the game and take it all.

Know the Bets

When you play the game of craps, there are plenty of bets that you can choose from. One of the most common that people make is the passline bet because this has the lowest house edge of only 1.41%. I suggest that you do not bet on the boxcars because the house edge is pretty big at 16.66%.

The ‘Roll’

The game of craps is played via dice rolls. The first roll that a shooter makes is what is called the “come out roll” and if the total value of the roll amounts to 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, then that would be the ‘point number’.

Once a point number has been established, the shooter would have to roll the dice again until they reach another point. Everyone who placed some bets before the rolling of the dice would win relatedly until the number 7 is achieved. Once the dice rolls 7, it is the end of the shooter’s turn and another player will be rolling the dice.

Patience is an important virtue when you are playing the game. In this aspect, you just have to slowly ramp up your bets instead of putting all of your money on the table. Doing so would be foolish because if the dice rolls seven, you are essentially losing all of your money in one go.

Why Patience Matters

When you look at really good craps players, you will find that they always find the right time to strike before they bet big. Once the opportunity presents itself, it would be in your best interest to take advantage of the situation.

The way you can do it would be to make a small initial bet on the passline, take the odds, and then just wait until the opportunity is there. Wait until that time comes and then bet more money to ensure a huge victory.

When you are ramping up your wins, it is important that you take on single odds only. Once you see that there is a huge chance that you are going to win, then it is time to take double odds.

When you are on the winning side, it is always good to capitalize on that and bet big. However, you have to have a keen eye to ensure that you are indeed betting on the right circumstances.
